BYK-SILCLEAN 3700

BYK SILCLEAN 3700 is a silicone-containing surface additive for solvent-borne systems to improve the easy-to-clean effect. It is a solution of a silicone-modified polyacrylate that is hydroxy-functional and provides a permanent effect after cross-linking. BYK SILCLEAN 3700 accumulates on surfaces where its OH groups can react and integrate into polymer networks. This fixes its properties for long periods. In multiple systems, BYK SILCLEAN 3700 increases hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, significantly improving water and oil repellency. It also reduces dirt adhesion while boosting easy cleaning. BYK SILCLEAN 3700 further improves substrate wetting, leveling, slip, water resistance, anti-blocking and weather resistance. Its use can enhance anti-graffiti and tape release qualities. Initial evaluation should be without other surface additives, and leveling additives can then be added if more leveling is needed.
