CARBOTHANE AC-4055D is a medical grade polycarbonate-based aromatic Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that exhibits excellent oxidative stability and provides superior mechanical performance and chemical resistance properties ideal for the Advanced Materials industry. CARBOTHANE AC-4055D TPU has a Shore Hardness of 56D and can withstand temperatures up to 145°C making it well-suited for applications requiring high strength and durability. With an ultimate tensile strength of 11,000 psi and flexural modulus of 27,700 psi, CARBOTHANE AC-4055D delivers high performance needed for demanding applications. Its chemical resistance allows for use in harsh chemical environments common in Advanced Materials processing. CARBOTHANE AC-4055D is easy to process via extrusion and injection molding, enabling precise and complex part production for the Advanced Materials sector. Due to their good oxidative and biocompatible properties CARBOTHANE grades are suitable for long-term implants.
