CERACOL 79

CERACOL 79 is a carnauba wax based dispersion additive that increases scratch resistance and surface slip. It contains a carnauba wax dispersion in a dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether carrier with a typical non-volatile matter of 20% and melting point of 85°C. CERACOL 79 has a particle size distribution of D50: 2 um and D90: 6 um, and viscosity of 80 mPa.s at 23°C at a shear rate of 400/s. CERACOL 79 improves performance properties by enhancing durability and reducing wear when incorporated at recommended levels of 1.5-2% in solvent-borne formulations. It can be added at the end of the production process with low shear mixing to optimize scratch resistance and extend product lifetime for various applications.
