DISPERBYK-2151

DISPERBYK 2151 is a hyperbranched polyester additive designed for solvent-borne and solvent-free systems. DISPERBYK 2151 provides excellent wetting and dispersing of pigments during grinding. Its polyester side chains are compressed during grinding while the adhesive forces of the aminic group on the pigment surfaces increase. The pigment affinic group will adsorb onto the pigment surfaces, while the polyester side chains still encapsulate the aminic groups from the system. This leads to a strong decrease in DISPERBYK 2151 viscosity and no reaction with the base materials, thereby achieving long-term storage stability. DISPERBYK 2151 is suitable for applications where uniform pigment dispersion, viscosity control and long-term stability are important factors for optimal performance.
