LIPOMOD 36MDP is a lipase enzyme produced by Rhizopus sp. (excipient: maltodextrin). LIPOMOD 36MDP is used in dietary supplements primarily as a digestive aid to help the body break down fats (triglycerides) into smaller, more manageable components: free fatty acids and glycerol for better absorption. LIPOMOD 36MDP has good stability between pH 3 and 8 and so if taken orally with a meal will survive passage through the stomach into the small intestine where it is not inactivated by bile salts. Typically, between 50 and 100mg of Lipomod® 36MDP per tablet or capsule.
