BYK-018

BYK-018 is a VOC-free silicone-containing defoamer that is highly effective against microfoam, particularly suitable for pigmented high gloss systems based on styrene acrylate, acrylate or acrylate/polyurethane combinations with a low pigment volume concentration. BYK-018 provides benefits for applications requiring a smooth uniform finish without any defects by ensuring a good distribution during incorporation through high shear forces. It can be used at recommended levels of 0.05-0.8% additive as supplied based on total formulation. BYK-018 effectively destroys foam to deliver flawless coatings with no imperfections for enhanced durability and aesthetics.
