BYK-C 8002

BYK C 8002 is a reactive polymeric coupling agent that improves mechanical properties in ATH-filled acrylate systems. It also improves the anti-settling properties. BYK C 8002 increases the flexural strength, compressive strength and the E modulus by up to 30 % in ambient curing resin systems. The additive also improves the anti-settling properties of the formulation. BYK C 8002 is recommended for acrylate resins (PMMA in MMA), which are filled with amphoteric or basic fillers such as ATH (aluminium trihydroxide). In the tested formulations, the additive showed no negative impact on hot water and weather resistance, making it suitable for applications requiring durability against environmental conditions.
