BYK-1780

BYK-1780 is a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane based defoamer additive for aqueous systems. BYK 1780 is highly effective in removing microfoam from coatings applied by airless or airmix methods in industrial manufacturing processes. It can be used in pigmented and clear coatings. BYK 1780 influences neither the transparency nor gloss in high-gloss industrial coating systems. As a solvent-free additive, BYK 1780 provides benefits such as improved surface quality and reduced defects in industrial coating applications. It is particularly suitable for use in industrial wood coatings, protective coatings and other industrial liquid coating formulations where high layer thickness is required and microfoam needs to be controlled for optimal performance.
