BYK-L 9565

BYK L 9565 is a hydroxy-functional, polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane surface additive that improves substrate wetting and leveling properties. BYK L 9565 additive can be used in solvent-borne and high-solid polyurethane coatings, especially those used in coated fabrics. It enhances the wetting of release papers and substrates for various industrial applications. BYK L 9565 also reduces pinhole formation. Due to its OH functionality, BYK L 9565 can be incorporated into polymerization processes to impart properties like permanent surface slip, flexibility and a soft-feel effect which are highly desirable in advanced material coatings and composites.
