BYK-375

BYK-375 is a silicone surface additive for aqueous systems. It is a hydroxy-functional polyether-polyester-modified polydimethylsiloxane solution that provides medium reduction of surface tension. BYK-375 helps incorporate reactive groups into polymer networks, anchoring generated surface properties for a longer duration. When used in exterior applications, early weathering can remove top resin layers along with the additive. However, BYK-375 allows generated effects to last sufficiently if conditions don't impact this. It is important to carefully sand coatings incorporated with BYK-375 before recoating or retouching to facilitate proper adhesion.
