BYK-UV 3530

BYK UV 3530 is a silicone surfactant additive that improves the performance of aqueous radiation-curable formulations. BYK UV 3530 accumulates at the coating/substrate interface and enables permanent anchoring to the surface through its acrylic functionality. This prevents migration and improves substrate wetting through a considerable reduction in surface tension. BYK UV 3530 also improves leveling in non-aqueous systems by orientating at the coating/air interface. Recommended for use between 0.2-1% in formulations, it provides benefits such as enhanced substrate adhesion, reduced pinholes, and improved appearance for end-use applications.
