DISPERBYK 163 is a high molecular weight block copolymer additive that stabilizes pigments of all types through steric hindrance. DISPERBYK 163 provides equal electrical charge to pigment particles, resulting in repulsion and steric stabilization to prevent co-flocculation. This leads to improved properties such as flood and float-free color in pigment mixtures. DISPERBYK 163 increases gloss, color strength, transparency and hiding power of formulations while reducing viscosity. It features broad compatibility and can be used for retroactive batch correction or in new formulations.
